Our day trip to Ephesus began with breakfast at Artemis Restaurant in Sirince. Sirince was a delight; an old mountaintop Greek village, hillsides dotted with orchards that are part a a thriving wine industry. I could have spent the entire day here visiting the shops and the venders in their bazzar. The House of Virgin Mary was our next stop. This is a Christian and a Muslin shrine. The chapel is built upon the original foundation. Ephesus was once the world's second largest city. It's now a 4,000 year-old open-air museum. The Celsus Library was the third largest library. Excavation at Ephesus has been going on for over 150 years.
